Custombike by Bernd from Pforzheim

Bernd comes from the Pforzheim area and told us a few things about the conversion of his custom bike: the front fork with the disc brakes comes from a Suzuki Savage. He made the rear wheel and the sidecar wheel drivable by means of 3 holes (3 wheel bolts) on the brake drum and the spacer for “duck rims with tires”. Everything can be easily converted back to “original tires”. All with original brake system. The “boat” is sprung with motorcycle shock absorbers. The entire electrical system and the ignition lock are in 2 housings, right and left, under the seat. The rear shock absorbers and those on the sidecar are lowered by 3 cm using sleeves (spring shortened). The engine is fitted with Almot pistons with Schöttle piston rings and oil scraper rings. LED lighting, Mikuni carburetor and electric speedometer. To match the gear ratio to the 15″ duck tires, he used a solo gear ratio on the rear wheel. This compensates for the “small rear wheel”. This means there is no loss of speed. Of course, the entire conversion was carried out in accordance with the regulations and has therefore been approved by the TÜV.
